aDESIGN BRIEF
The Puzzle Cube Design Project was a challenge where I had to create a five piece cube that can be solved by a high school student within five minutes.
OUTCOME
The project was difficult because the design could not be too complicated, but it also could not be too easy or else it students wouldn't have any fun with it. My cube ended up being a little sticky and awkward because I used acrylic paint, but overall it was a good design and final product.
MAJOR TAKEAWAYS
-My major takeaway from this project was overall professionalism. Having a professional appeal makes the difference between getting a decent grade and an outstanding grade. I put my project neatly into a binder with all my papers in plastic sheets. The binder looked very clean and gave me the upper hand when it came to grading.
-Another takeaway I had was learning how to trust the process. If something bad happens, then it was meant to happen. This happened when a few dice became separated from their pieces. My dad saw this and suggested I use Krazy Glue. The pieces ended up being much stronger with the crazy glue.

Above is my concept sketches for the final cube. I chose cube number two because I felt it fit the criteria best. Below is my physical cube. It was constructed using hot glue, krazy glue, dice, and acrylic paint.
